Hey dude , I just watched your video and have metal detected the Outer Banks many times. Switching it up this year I have purchased an Equinox 900 and hope the finds will increase from the past. Although the finds have been few and far between the times have been priceless. I will try around the pier you mentioned and some hotel hot spots. Wish me luck. Thanks for the video.

My own metal detecting which wasn't very long, resulted in numerous bottle caps and pop tops mixed with aluminum foil and various other stuff that was purely trash...I was just worn out and frustrated at all the time and effort with nothing to show for...I lacked the patience and stamina that is the most important element required for finding anything of value...I have satisfied myself with the many RUclips detecting posts ... Some of them are pure 🐂💩..A very few seem to be genuine and interesting... That's my vicarious treasure hunting...😂...

The building behind with the smoke stacks is The boiler room. It is not a crematorium. That is absolutely absurd. Up until the 1960s, kitchens and boilers were always segregated from the main facility in hospitals and other establishments housing many people. This was to protect against fire.

I found one with the cross on Lantana Beach Fl. in 1970. Showed it to a buddy of mine and he put between his teeth and snapped it in half, then said see, I told you it was fake. To this day I don't know why I never pursued it. It was real!!

Nice large sized bi-face. People call pieces like thise preforms or "blanks". To be technically correct at least, I will simply call them bi-faces as that's what they are, bi-facially reduced into desired sizes thickness or shapes and then furthur reduced into any number of tools or type points. Couldve been destined for furthur refinement into any number of things. Calling it a biface would be the correct term for it unless otherwise examined to have use wear on any level or not. The edges and flaking tell the story once you learn to discern distinct manufacture/reduction methods.

There's still tons of gold around almost any sandy beach....its just being at the right place at the right time. It was ordained this man found that gold and for what reasons only god knows why. But gold was transported on 1000s of ships down through the centuries. I would say there's probably more gold on the ocean sea beds at depths than on beaches but t he ting is you can find gold rings, bracelets and other items if you want to spend time doing it....time that you can never get back from spending with others you love.

The answer to your question about if there's "gold in the trenches" if we could pull the ocean back.....yes, there is. The gentleman who owns the Discoversea Shipwreck Museum on Fenwick Island in Delaware, Dale W. Clifton, told a story and showed those of us listening a solid gold bar he pulled out of the Atlantic Ocean during a storm. He tied himself to his Jeep and waded out into the surf during a big storm. And, he got a big reward! Highly recommend visiting his museum if you're near Ocean City or Rehoboth Beach. It's worth it. He has amazing stories and a wonderland of treasures, some from the Titanic and its sister ship the RMS Republic, among many other artifacts from local shipwrecks. Will be in OBX this Fall for the first time. Got the medal detectors all ready to roll. Thanks for a great video!

I helped start two start-ups and in the end they were successful but I ended up unhappy. I quit both those jobs, and I ended up searching for inner peace. I started going on deep hikes into the mountains. I find different rocks and fossils in creeks and remote areas where people dont venture. One day after a 3 hr search in the mountains I found what looks to be an ancient brick of some kind. Upon further inspection, it has a bunch of what looks to be gold gust inside as if it was mixed into the brick. If you see this send me an email and I can send you pictures to see what you think. Wow thats impressive. Im impressed by just finding parts of those bottles. How did you manage to find a whole dump full of them? Ive found two pieces to different bottles under a old tree stump years ago in a field and am wondering if theres any chance i might come across that old a dump.

I am a VMI graduate myself. I have never heard of so many VMI buttons found in the same spot. Was this area a hospital site ? Please keep them together, it might be the only thing left from that person.
